How To Fill National Scholarship Online Form 2025-26
Follow These Step-by-Step Instructions to Complete the NSP OTR Registration and Submit Your Scholarship Application Without Any Errors on the Official Portal.
- Step 1: Visit the Official NSP Portal — Open Your Browser and Go to scholarships.gov.in
- Step 2: Click on the “Students” Tab on the Homepage, Then Click “Login” Under the OTR Section.
- Step 3: Click on “Register” — Read the Guidelines Carefully, Tick the Checkboxes, and Click “Next”.
- Step 4: Enter Your Mobile Number and Click “Get OTP”. Verify the OTP Received on Your Registered Mobile.
- Step 5: Enter Your Aadhaar Number, Get and Verify the OTP, Then Fill in Personal Details (Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Email ID) and Click “Finish”.
- Step 6: You Will Receive a Temporary Reference Number via SMS. Download the NSP OTR App and Complete Face Authentication Using Aadhaar eKYC to Generate Your Final 14-Digit OTR Number.
- Step 7: Log in to the NSP Portal Using Your OTR Number and Password. Verify the OTP Sent to Your Mobile and Change the Default Password.
- Step 8: Click on “Application Form” on Your Dashboard. Select Your State of Domicile and Choose the Eligible Scholarship Scheme.
- Step 9: Fill in All Academic, Personal, Category, and Bank Account Details Accurately. Upload All Required Documents in the Specified Format.
- Step 10: Review All Details Carefully and Click “Submit Application”. Your Application Will Move Forward for Institute-Level Verification (L1), Followed by DNO/SNO/MNO Verification (L2).
💡Candidates Please Note: Renewal Applicants Must Also Complete OTR Before Applying Again. Log in Using Your Reference Number (Received on Registered Mobile), Generate OTR via the App, and Then Select “Renewal” Application. Do Not Register as a New Student If You Are a Renewal Applicant.

After Submitting the NSP Application, Students Can Track Their Application and Payment Status in Real Time Using Their OTR Login Credentials on the Official Portal.
- Step 1: Visit scholarships.gov.in and Log in Using Your OTR Number and Password.
- Step 2: On the Dashboard, Navigate to the “Check Your Status” Section.
- Step 3: Your Current Application Status Will Be Displayed — Whether It Is Submitted, Under Institute Verification, DNO/SNO Verified, or Approved for Payment.
