Method 1: Apply Instant e PAN Card Online via Income Tax Portal
This is a fast and Aadhaar-based process (Apply Instant e PAN Card Online).
- Step 1: Visit the Official Website – www.incometax.gov.in.
- Step 2: Click on “Instant e-PAN” under “Quick Links”.
- Step 3: Click on “Get New e-PAN” and Enter your Aadhaar number.
- Step 4: Verify using OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Step 5: Now if your email is not linked, then click on link your email (Verify using OTP sent to your email).
- Step 6: Successfully Submitted: Note down the Acknowledgment Number for tracking and future reference.
- Step 7: After 72 hours you will be notified via email and SMS, after which you will be able to download your ePAN card
💡 This is only for individuals who do not already have a PAN and whose Aadhaar is linked to a mobile number.

- Step 1: Visit go to Official website – www.tin-nsdl.com.
- Step 2: Under Services, click on PAN → Apply Online.
- Step 3: Select form 49A (for Indian citizens) or form 49AA (for foreigners) and choose the applicant category (individual).
- Step 4: Fill in Personal Details: Name, Date of Birth, Address, Mobile Number, Other details.
- Step 5: Choose Document Verification: e-KYC and e-Sign (Aadhaar based)
- Step 6: Upload Documents – Upload clear, scanned copies of your required documents, signature and photo. The system accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG formats.
